A typically developing child of Luca's age SHOULD have approximately 1000-1500 words in their expressive vocabulary and use 4-5 word utterances consistently. Luca's speech and language skills were re-evaluated using the Preschool Language Scales 5th Edition (PLS-5)/ Dual language assessment. Hayden required MAXIMUM redirection and NUMEROUS prompts to cooperate. We have thermometers in our front lobbies and will be checking for high temperatures as we begin the traditional time of year for an increase in flu, colds, and COVID. Any child or parent with a temperature of 100 degrees and above will be asked to reschedule for another day & time. If you or your child or someone in your home has COVID, we continue to ask that you stay home and quarantine to stop the spread. Crawling, sitting, and standing before a year, walking before two years 5. Wakes up at least once during the night 6. Used to attend daycare not anymore 7. Has been also exposed to Spanish 8. No vision or hearing issues, last hearing test as newborn and passed 9. Concerned with lack of speech. He doesn't speak clear words nor clear sentences. This is causing a delay in potty training.

Let's consider what happened to him at daycare; this was a traumatic event that could have affected his emotional regulation and attachment to certain items that help him feel secure and confident. I see Luca much more confident now, and I also notice improvements in his communication skills.

Even though you're giving Luca choices, it will help him feel a sense of control because he can decide what to take off first. 2) Transition object: When he takes off his costume or just the mask, have something to replace it, such as a stuffed animal or edible (I personally prefer edibles since food is a good motivator). 3) Build routine and predictability. This is what I meant for the "first then" statement, for example: "After we eat dinner, we take off Spiderman and then we------" (here I will choose something positive and highly preferred, like a snack, but something he doesn't always have access to).
