Assessment of Goals/Response to Treatment: Therapist introduced play doh activity to work on grasping, bilateral coordination, and attention to task. Mod support was required for her to flatten play doh in order to use shape cutters. Therapist modeled using rolling pin and she imitated with min assistance to position and use sufficient force to flatten. Arya used scissors to snip rolled play doh with verbal prompting x 3 to use 2 hands during task. She transitioned away from task with prompts x 3 to clean up. Therapist introduced puzzle activity to further work on skills. Min verbal prompts provided to match the pieces and to turn to fit into slot. Therapist expanded play by modeling pretend play with pieces and she followed. Min support required to transition away from therapy session.

The patient demonstrates significant deficits in gross motor development, including decreased strength, impaired balance, reduced coordination, diminished kinesthetic awareness, decreased activity tolerance, and limited mobility. Gait assessment reveals atypical movement patterns. These impairments adversely affect her ability to perform age-appropriate gross motor tasks and limit participation in activities of daily living, daily routines, and play. This option will get your child's therapy started now, while you wait for in-person therapy. Our telehealth sessions are conducted securely via Zoom, allowing your child to receive high-quality, personalized OT from the comfort of your home. Once your child's in-person spot becomes available, you will have the option to come into the clinic for therapy or, if you prefer, continue with telehealth if your child is a good candidate. Each visit is authorized for a specific length of time within the authorization period (for example, 30 minutes per session, twice per week). You will not turn in the first pathway as before - those are building A. Instead you turn off of Zaragosa into a drive way path adjacent to Ernie’s Cafe Restaurant. Continue down the drive way with trees you will see the first address board that says 1510 N Zaragosa Suites A, pass this entrance, pass the alley then at the next entrance (same entrance as main office but you will turn to opposite side) is 1510 N Zaragosa Building B - make a right and continue all the way down to the end and it will be Suite B- 1 . There is signage that says OT for Tots but the door is marked New Beginnings. If you have any questions please feel free to message me.
