Child did not experience any complications at birth, does not have any visual or hearing deficits. Child does have history of aggression and seasonal allergies. Subjective: Patient completed all required tasks,

Assessment of Goals/Response to Treatment: The patient was actively engaged and participated in all therapeutic activities presented during the session. Progress was noted in self-care skills, specifically addressing sequencing for activities of daily living. During a simulated multi-step dressing task, the patient successfully sequenced donning a shirt and pants with only 4 verbal cues for organization and orientation, demonstrating a significant improvement from the moderate assistance previously required. This task incorporated bilateral integration, crossing midline, and visual motor integration. Executive functioning and attention were addressed through a functional, non-preferred IADL task of organizing school materials using a 3-step visual schedule. The patient initiated the activity with moderate verbal cueing and sustained attention for 7 minutes of the 10-minute goal, requiring 4 verbal cues for redirection. This performance shows emerging self-control and activity initiation, an improvement from her baseline of requiring moderate to maximum assistance to complete any IADL. During a moment of frustration with a fine motor component, the patient became emotionally dysregulated. With moderate verbal and physical prompting, she was guided to utilize a deep breathing strategy. She was able to return to a regulated state and re-engage with the task after approximately 8 minutes, indicating a need for continued skilled intervention to improve independent initiation of coping strategies and reduce recovery time to meet her goal.
