Child did not experience any complications at birth, does not have any visual or hearing deficits. Subjective: Patient completed all required tasks,

Assessment of Goals/Response to Treatment: Fernando was an active and engaged participant in today’s telehealth occupational therapy session, successfully completing all therapist-directed activities. Progress was observed in functional independence with instrumental activities of daily living . Fernando completed a three-step functional task with moderate verbal cues to support initiation, sequencing, and task completion, demonstrating improved sustained attention and cognitive integration in alignment with his goals. During a fine motor activity targeting bilateral coordination, Fernando required maximum physical and verbal assistance to establish an appropriate scissor grasp, use his non-dominant hand to stabilize the paper, and maintain safety throughout the task. Notable improvement was seen in self-regulation and psychosocial skills. Fernando needed only minimal prompting to identify and verbally express his emotional state using a feelings chart, exceeding the expected level of support. This growing self-awareness was further challenged during a simulated self-care activity, where he required moderate verbal cues to manage aversive responses and remain engaged. This reflects continued progress in increasing tolerance to non-preferred sensory experiences associated with daily living tasks.

Tricare is currently experiencing technical difficulties with their technology systems and initial and re-authorizations. We are almost caught up I believe 3 more appointments and we should be all good, it’s just that when he was with his old therapist I guess she missed a lot of appointments, and also this month we will be closed Monday for memorial day so that’s another one we will miss 😅
