As of today, the report shows that the patient is currently behind by eight visits, already counting the make-up sessions. According to the therapist, the make-up visits of 2x a week were intended to cover sessions missed in previous weeks; however, not all sessions have been successfully made up since the start of the current authorization period on December 2, 2024. Mia’s attendance is projected to return to 100% at the start of her next authorization cycle and we can make it for it to be 1x or 2x a month to alleviate some of the costs. While this is a positive outlook, it is important that attendance improves during the remainder of this current authorization period. Continued poor attendance may result in discharge, as outlined in the attendance policy of 90% you acknowledged and signed at the start of services.

Just wanted to point it out. It looks like no matter what we say we have not received much compassion from this place at all. Policy is policy and we signed from November-May with sessions being at $54 now all of a sudden policy can change and we are paying 64 and now fees are being administered. From the forms we signed that was for the upcoming sessions and we understand and are working on making sure those will not be missed. Not sure if self pay patients and treated differently. We are just being honest and would like to point this out.

Are there behavioral therapies or strategies we can try before considering medication? What medications are commonly prescribed for ADHD, and what are their potential side effects? How do we determine if medication is working or needs adjustment? What strategies can we use at home to support my child with ADHD? How can I work with my child’s school to create a supportive learning environment? Are there specific activities or routines that can help manage symptoms? If she is diagnosed, follow up with the school to do additional testing and start an IEP this will help support her in school by offering accommodations. The earlier the better!

I believe this may be partly due to the increased difficulty of the test now that she has turned 9 — age maturation plays a role, and expectations become higher at this stage. Additionally, understanding semantic relationships and accurately recalling sentences were areas of noticeable difficulty during the assessment. I understand the cost of the evaluations and the sessions play a part of moving each session.The constant change in schedule is difficult to navigate and in need of a more consistent attendance. Frequent schedule changes and missed sessions have resulted in a current attendance rate of 66%. Per our clinic’s policy, a minimum of 90% attendance is required, and I am obligated to make up missed sessions to help meet that standard until the end of her authorization.If the weekly cost makes it difficult to maintain a consistent schedule, I would recommend discharging services at this time and resuming when attendance can be more stable. I completely understand that circumstances can change, and I’d be happy to support you when the timing is right. Please let me know know what you decide :) If we’re unable to meet this requirement through consistent attendance and makeups, it may result in discharge from services.

This includes making up at least some of the missed visits. If you choose to discharge at this point, you would need to restart the entire intake process. This means going back to your primary care provider for a new referral and completing a full reevaluation before services can resume.

I have a patient scheduled immediately after, and I’m unable to accommodate her session at this time. As outlined in the updated policy that was recently signed, a $25 no-show fee will be applied to your account due to today’s no call/no show. This fee must be paid before Mia can be scheduled for another session. Additionally, this incident will be documented as a first warning for attendance non-compliance. You will be receiving a message from the front office regarding this matter. I also want to note that I was not informed about any changes to Thursday or Friday’s schedule. If either of those days work better for you moving forward, please let us know as soon as possible so we can try to accommodate accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

She wanted me to see if you might be interested in adopting a sweet 12-week-old kitten. The kitten just had her first vet visit today. She's in good health and has received her first shot.
