| Patient/Family Education: Discussed the finding of the examination, reviewed development with the parent and parent was advised physical therapy is not recommended at this time. Discussed activities/strategies available to address optimal developmental milestones in Gross Motor skills. Parent states understanding and agrees to provide support at home in order to progress outcomes for patient. Parent provided opportunity to ask questions and all questions were answered to the parent's satisfaction. |

Clinical Observations: Good posture, dynamic/static sitting and standing
Physical Therapy Assessment / Impression:
Patient is an 11-year, 2-month-old male referred to physical therapy in the context of autism. Per parental report, mother expresses concerns regarding language development but reports no concerns regarding physical or motor skills.
During evaluation, the patient demonstrated age-appropriate gross motor skills. Objective assessment using the BOT-2 revealed gross motor age equivalence between 11–14 years, indicating average to well-above-average performance across both simple and complex gross motor tasks. No deficits were observed that impact current development or functional mobility.
Recommendation:
At this time, the patient does not meet criteria for skilled physical therapy. No physical therapy services are recommended. Routine monitoring of gross motor development is appropriate. |
